Celebrations, very girly
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAZZY!! Samhain I had an invasion of girls. :) Steph's friends (5) came over after I got off work (2pm)... for sort of a pre trick-or-treating thing. The night before we decorated and stuff, which turned out really well - we wrapped the whole living room (even the floor) in black garbage sacks, in prep for the craft idea we planned, create halloween shirts. (Poof, paint splatters begone! Note to self, must use again if ever doing messy projects) Had hanging bats, tombstones, and paper lanters Steph and I spookily styled, and my some of my regular pagan decor :P Anywhos they painted the black t-shirts with fabric paint/pens/hair color spray etc and then we awarded prizes to the most creative, funniest, & coolest. (Being 12-13yr old there were hearts and cupcakes on a few... ewo) Then in surprise move they all wore their creations to school the next Monday. (Brave kids - Steph has some really rocking friends). I fed them Pizza, they watched (as much as giggling/talking preteens can) the Craft, and such. Today... Steph opened her gifts this morning, we did the b-day thing today so Mike could enjoy it too. then we went out to dinner (mexican), with three of Steph's friends, and another mother. It was a blast. Miss ya all. Current Mood: awake | | Monday, October 26th, 2009 | | 6:06 pm |

SPACE.com
...The Orionid meteor shower is expected to put on a good show tonight into the predawn hours Wednesday, weather permitting. This annual meteor shower is created when Earth passes through trails of comet debris left in space long ago by Halley's Comet. The "shooting stars" develop when bits typically no larger than a pea, and mostly sand-grain-sized, vaporize in Earth's upper atmosphere.. darn for cloudy weather :( | | Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 | | 4:11 pm |

Your result for The Golden Compass Daemon Test...
Multi-Faceted Soul
In a way, you are a truly balanced person. You have a good sense of self, but you have periods of worry and self doubt. You don't like to be alone a lot, but you don't like being constantly surrounded, either. You can be shy in some situations and bold in others. You can tell people how you feel, but you don't wear your heart on your sleeve. You aren't "TOO" anything: You aren't too shy, you aren't too aggressive, you aren't too extroverted, you aren't too introverted. However at any one time you can be any combination of these things.
You tend to adapt yourself to match the situations in which you find yourself. You may be quiet and sensitive with some people, or joking and loud with others. These are all facets of your personality. People tend to perceive you as they want to perceive you. They may even tend to idealize you a bit. Then, when you do something that doesn't fit their concept of who you are (like have an outburst of anger, or a fit of shyness, or make an insensitive joke)they can be shocked and surprised. Does anyone know the real you?
Your daemon would represent your multi-faceted and ever-changing personality, as well as people's tendency to idealize you. He or she would get angry when you did not, be calm and poised when you felt ruffled and anxious, and always be the voice of emotion and reason in your ear.
Suggested forms: Swan, Elephant, Koala, Panda, Chameleon, Wolf.

Writer's Block: Jury Duty
Yes, it was pretty interesting until we got into the courtroom and learned it was a domestic violence case :( Guilty on one count (a minor charge, harassment) and not guilty on another due to wording of the law. | | Friday, August 7th, 2009 | | 3:36 pm |

I'ma about headed to bed but didn't want to pass up a HURRAY moment! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090404/ap_on_re_us/iowa_gay_marriageIowa's Supreme Court legalized gay marriage Friday in a unanimous and emphatic decision that makes Iowa the third state — and first in the nation's heartland — to allow same-sex couples to wed. WAY TOO LONG IN COMING http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090408/ap_on_re_us/gay_marriage_vermontAnd another bright blurb... Vermont, which invented civil unions, on Tuesday became a pioneer again as the first state to legalize gay marriage through a legislature's vote, suggesting growing popular acceptance of the idea. The House barely achieved the votes necessary to override Gov. Jim Douglas' veto of a bill that will allow gays and lesbians to marry beginning September 1. Four states now have same-sex marriage laws and other states soon could follow suit. Bills to allow same-sex marriage are currently before lawmakers in New Hampshire, Maine, New York and New Jersey. The three other states that currently allow same-sex marriage — Connecticut, Massachusetts and Iowa — each moved to do so through the courts, not legislatures... | | Monday, March 16th, 2009 | | 5:57 pm |
